About me

My name is Cosima, I am an award-winning documentary filmmaker and self-shooting PD.

My latest documentary “High Passes” was given a grant from One World Media and selected to 10 film festivals worldwide including the Academy Award qualifying In the Palace 2019 and won 3 festival awards in France, Barcelona and the UK. Its online premiere was selected by Girls in Film.

As well as directing my own documentaries, my credits include Sky Arts, Channel 5, BBC, Royal Academy of Arts, Serpentine Gallery, Louis Vuitton Foundation, RAI, NHS, Open University, the Wallace Gallery and many charities. I have worked as a PD on feature docs as well as music videos, events and promos.

I am proficient working with Canon C series, Sony FS7 and A7S. Being also a proficient editor (both with Premiere and FCP), I am aware of the variety of footage needed to make a good sequence or film.

Having directed and worked on a variety of documentaries and having been a full-time filmmaker for Chocolate Films, I have a flair for a good story and I believe my years of experience have taught me to understand who to cast to tell a story best.

I have a clean driving license, a full DBS, I am fluent in French, Italian and English.

I hold an EU and a UK passport.
